Join Larry Jordan and Michael Horton as they talk with:

Simon Walker, Colorist and Trainer

Colorist and trainer, Simon Walker, has released “Master Artists for Looks 2,” a collection of painterly pre-sets that will have your images looking like they were created by a true genius. We speak with Simon about the process of color grading an image, what works, what doesn’t, and why he created these new plug-ins.

Bob Kaminsky, Co-creator and Executive Producer, Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor

It would take the entire show to list all of Bob Kaminsky’s credits. He is the co-creator and an Executive Producer of the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, now in its 14th year. He is also the co-creator and an Executive Producer of The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Bob has produced hundreds of hours of music specials and worked with just about every music superstar or humorist you can think of including: The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bonnie Raitt, The Police, Reba McIntire, George Strait, George Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Bob Newhart, Richard Pryor, Lily Tomlin. Bill Cosby. First, we’re gonna ask if he can introduce us, then, we want to go behind the scenes to learn how he produces a show like this.

Ralph Kelsey, President and Co-founder, Broadway Sound and Yossi Kimberg, Editor, Broadway Video

Broadway Video, and its audio division Broadway Sound, specialize in programs for television, radio, film and the theater. They handled many of the production duties in creating the recent Mark Twain Prize for American Humor program. Ralph Kelsey mixed the audio, while Yossi Kimberg edited the show. This week, we talk with both of them to learn how they approach a major network show like this and pick up some techniques we can use ourselves.

Paul Babb, President, Maxon

The Cinema 4D Education site, “Cineversity,” has been re-launched by Maxon U.S. and we’re looking forward to hearing more from Maxon President, Paul Babb. Why did they need to relaunch it? What did they improve? And how can you benefit from the new site?
