Digital Production BuZZ

Nov 11, 2011

Join Larry Jordan and Mike Horton , as they talk with:

Wes Plate, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Adobe Systems, Inc.

Wes Plate started his career as a creative editor using After Effects and Avid in tandem, an experience that led him to co-found Automatic Duck, Inc. together with his father Harry in 2001. Automatic Duck software became the de facto standard for moving media projects from one software platform to another. Recently, Automatic Duck stunned the industry by announcing that Wes had joined Adobe’s product marketing group working on Adobe’s popular suite of audio and video production applications and that all of the Duck’s software utilities were now free. Tune in this week and learn the inside story of why Wes made the switch to become a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Adobe Systems.

Jack Reilly, Event Manager, Future Media Concepts

Jack Reilly is the Event Manager for Future Media Concepts and has some really interesting training sessions scheduled for the upcoming GV Expo in Washington D.C. later this month. We talk with Jack to learn what new training is available, and get a sense of what subjects editors are most interested in learning. This is a very cool way to get some of the best technical training available!

Jack Tunnicliffe Founder, Java Post

Jack Tunnicliffe is the founder of Java Post, a leading editing and visual effects facilities based in western Canada. His company has an impressive roster of post-production credits that includes hit Canadian TV sitcoms such as “Corner Gas” and “InSecurity,” and the critically acclaimed film, “Hungry Hills” featured at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. We want to talk to Jack about their use of Mocha and After Effects, and how he markets this software to attract new business.
