Digital Production BuZZ

Jan 7, 2011

Join host Larry Jordan and co-host Michael Horton as they talk with:

James Mathers, President & Co-founder, Digital Cinema Society

James Mathers is a veteran Cinematographer, and the President of the nonprofit educational cooperative, The Digital Cinema Society, a group dedicated to the industry’s informed integration of new technology, as well as a regular contributor to a number of industry trade journals. James has been the Director of Photographer on dozens of films and we are anxious to speak with him about cameras, 3D, what to look for in 2011 and also to hear the latest news about the Digital Cinema Society.

Brandon Miller, Filmmaker

Every once in a while, we get to report on a true success story. Those of you who followed us last year will remember a very heart-warming and inspiring interview with Brandon Miller and his “Homeless in LA” film project. He currently has far larger goals than a single film project. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but Brandon has some great news for us. We are looking forward to chatting with him this week!

Michael Kammes, Sr. Applications Editor and Workflow Specialist, KeyCode Media

Everyone’s talking about stereoscopic 3D video. It’s a very hot topic this week at CES. But how do we build an editing bay to accommodate the technology. Michael Kammes, Sr. Applications Editor and Workflow Specialist, for KeyCode Media, is here with lists, costs, equipment advice and practical tips. Plus, he’ll also have an update on the latest announcements from CES.

Philip Hodgetts, President, Intelligent Assistance

Philip Hodgetts, President of Intelligent Assistance, has been talking with us on The Buzz about making money with on-line video for a while now. This week, we want to put some numbers behind the talk. Who’s making what out of online video? iTunes really gives out no information and those who sell through Apple are banned from giving out the information. But Philip has been able to ferret out some facts and will provide some case studies of what some stars are making, then extend this more broadly into how people generate revenue from online video.

You can’t find people or interviews like this anywhere else! It’s another fascinating show. It’s all the information you need now to know what’s coming next!
