Drobo first became known for its friendly, expandable, RAID-protected storage. Now, they are creating an ecosystem of applications revolving around storage and the Cloud. Jim Sherhart, Senior Director of Product Marketing and Business Development, joins us to talk about the new storage applications that Drobo is making available as well as what new storage products Drobo is working on.

An example of one of these new Drobo applications is Pogoplug. They have created a cloud-storage system for mobile devices – what they call the “Personal Cloud.” And they just partnered with Drobo to provide cloud-based storage for remote file access, cloud storage and media streaming from any device.
